Starting this fall I’ll be a Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Fairfield University. Previously I taught at Bowdoin College and completed my PhD in Philosophy and Classics at Yale University. In addition to Greco-Roman philosophy and practical ethics, I’m interested in applied ethics and philosophy of religion. I’m Director of Education for Bruchim, and I co-hosted two seasons of the Bruchim Podcast, which discusses the religious and ethical dimensions of circumcision from a Jewish perspective. After philosophy, what brings me the most joy is categorizing obscure music genres, making dips, and playing board games. Pronouns they/he. Accent my surname on the first syllable (DEW-bahf); capitalize the “B” but don’t ask me why (no one knows).
